Bakit dito sa mga kakampi ni Aquino, yong mga pumupuna kay Noynoy ay ang inaatake eh si Villar agad. Nag papanic agad. Bakit hindi si Estrada o Teodoro, o Perlas. Wala namang binabanggit na kanilang kandidato. Dahil kaya si Villar ang mahigpit na kalaban ni Noynoy.

Roxas’ running mate, Liberal Party presidential candidate Sen. Benigno “Noynoy” Aquino III, is haunted by another ghost—the ghost of the security agency he put up shortly after his mother was installed by People Power in 1986.
It is indeed ironic that Aquino whose campaign is mainly fuelled by his anti-corruption stance is tainted by the accusations that he committed graft and corruption when he set up the Best Security Agency Inc. The company obtained contracts with a government agency and other enterprises vulnerable to government pressure.It might be coincidental or it might be deliberate but even the initials chosen for the security agency was intimidating. BSA, of course, is the initials of Senator Noynoy Aquino’s father, Senator Benigno Servillano Aquino Jr.
Noynoy is finding it difficult to exorcise the ghost of the BSA security agency and his attempt to explain his involvement only serves to underscore the fact that he is not “walang bahid” (untainted).
If you listen to his explanations on the BSA security agency, it would appear that Aquino has very low anti-corruption threshold.
His critics, of course, are making a big issue out of the fact that the security agency’s business address is no less than the Arlegui official residence of the President of the Philippines at that time.
And what was Noynoy’s response on why a security agency soliciting business with government agencies and sequestered government corporations is using Arlegui, the equivalent of the White House at that time?
The Manila Standard Today story by Christine Herrera which broke out this issue last March 26 quoted Aquino as saying: “What could I do? I lived in Arlegui at the time. What’s so illegal about that?”
If Aquino see nothing wrong with using the official residence of the Philippines as the official address of a security guard agency soliciting business with government agencies and sequestered companies, then we have to question his sense of propriety and delicadeza and more important his anti-corruption standards.
With an address like Arlegui and with the presidential son as one of the owners and vice president from 1986 to 1993, BSA did very well and had some 1,000 security guards in its employ. It serviced the government-owned Philippine National Construction Corp. (PNCC) which at that time was the operator of the South Luzon Expressway and the North Luzon Expressway, the facilities and buildings of sequestered companies under the Presidential Commission on Good Government, as well as private clients like AsiaTrust, Tanduay Distillers of taipan Lucio Tan and Uniwide.
Aquino has admitted that he is an incorporator of BSA but said in a press conference in Baliuag the other week that he divested from the company when his mother became president.
This explanation is confusing especially in the light of the fact that BSA used the Arlegui address which became the official residence of the President of the Philippines during the time of President Aquino.
Of course this explanation evades the fact that Noynoy was vice president of BSA from 1986 to 1993 meaning that he was involved in the company during the whole term of his mother as president.
Aquino also tried to explain that if he really wanted to take advantage of the Aquino presidency to get rich, it would not be through a security agency where he said “we’d be lucky to get five percent from the gross profits.”
He said that after he divested his shares from BSA he became just an employee of the agency and that he worked in the backroom.
The owners and officers of BSA were Noynoy’s uncle Len Oreta who was chairman of the board and president, Cipriano Lacson was director-treasurer, while Aquino, George Gaddi, Bienvenido Reyes, Alexander Lopez and Jacob Acuna were directors.
This issue actually was raised as early as 1987 when Mrs. Aquino was still president. I was a Malacañang reporter at that time and if I remember correctly, the justification cited by the Palace at that time was that the agency was put up to help give jobs to those who approach the presidential son.
There were talks at that time that BSA was part of the rumored Yellow Army.
This was apparently confirmed by Aquino himself when he admitted in the press conference in Bulacan that BSA was put up as a response to the threats from forces still loyal to President Marcos.
Then as now, Senator Noynoy Aquino has failed to explain why no graft and corruption was committed when he was involved in a security agency which had contracts with the government.
His critics are saying that his involvement in BSA as owner-incorporator and as vice president which he has admitted having a conflict of interest and violating the Anti-Graft and Corrupt Practices Act of 1965, which made it “unlawful for any person having family or close personal relations with any public official to capitalize or exploit or rake advantage of such family or close personal relations…”
Here we have no less than the son of the President of the Philippines involved in a security agency doing business with the government.
Senator Aquino should give a clear answer to this issue. This way, we would know if he is sincere in his promise to fight graft and corruption.

THE KILLING FIELDS
Seven peasant farmers, who were protesting their take home pay of Php9.50-a-day at the Cojuangco-owned Hacienda Luisita in Tarlac, were murdered in cold blood at the gate of the hacienda, a hail of bullets ensuring that Nov. 16, 2004 will forever live as a day of infamy.
Private army
With Noynoy Aquino as a member of the security committee at his family’s sugar estate, killed by sniper fire from suspected members of the Cojuangco’s private army were: Jhavie Basilio, Adriano Caballero, Jhune David, Jesus Laza, Juancho Sanchez, Jaime Pastidio and Jessie Valdez.
Left to die
Some of them could have lived, but hospitals in Cojuangco-controlled Tarlac refused to admit patients from the hacienda. Hundred others sustained wounds, including 27 who were hit by bullets, from the incident now infamously known as the HACIENDA LUISITA MASSACRE.
The killings continue
But the killings did not stop there! Over a period of 10 months, at least seven more peasant farmers, labor leaders and church ministers – bonded together by their being staunch critics of the family of presidential wannabe Noynoy Aquino – were silenced. Permanently!
Bloody end
Like the seven martyrs of the Hacienda Luisita Massacre, the following also met bloody end at the hands of known henchmen of Noynoy’s family, just because they want to put an end to the injustices at the hacienda:
Marcelino Beltran (RIP +) Killed on Dec. 8, 2004 as he was celebrating his birthday with his family at their home. A retired army officer turned peasant leader, he was shot before he could testify at the Senate and Congress on Dec. 13 and 14, 2004, on the trajectories of the bullets fired during the Hacienda Luisita Massacre.
Councilor Abelardo Ladera (RIP +) Shot while buying spare car parts on March 3, 2004, a day after he accessed critical documents regarding Luisita’s stock distribution option and Land Use Conversion Plan from the Department of Agrarian Reform. He was killed before he could bring the documents to the Senate and Congress.
Rev. William Tadena (RIP +) Tadena had been lending a sympathetic ear to the plight of Luisita’s peasant farmers and for it was killed on March 13, 2005. A fellow Aglipayan priest in Fr. Jun Flores, who has gone into hiding fearing for his own life, saw a bodyguard of Noynoy shoot Fr. Tadena.
Victor “Tata Ben” Concepcion (RIP +) Remembered for championing the cause of land-tillers at Hacienda Luisita, the 66-year-old secretary general of the Aguman de reng Maglalautang Capampangan, was peppered with bullets on March 17, 2005.
Florante Collante (RIP +) A coordinator of Bayan Muna, Collantes was murdered in his home in Camiling Tarlac on Oct. 15, 2005 for being very vocal against Noynoy and his family on their oppression of farmers.
Ricardo Ramos (RIP +) President of the Luisita Labor group CATLU, Ramos was shot Oct. 25, 2005 as he celebrated the awarding of P8.8 million in wages already worked for by Luisita farmers, but which had been withheld by Noynoy and his family.
Bishop Alberto Ramento (RIP +) Stabbed seven times on Oct. 3, 2006, right at his parish office, Bishop Ramento irked Noynoy and his family for providing moral, spiritual and other support to Luisita farmers. Until now, his killer had not been brought to justice, with the mastermind said to be even gunning for the highest office of the land.
Tirso Cruz (RIP +) A leader of the United Luisita Workers Union, he was killed on March 17, 2006 for opposing the SDO scheme used by Noynoy’s family to exempt the hacienda from land reform coverage.
Noynoy’s hand
Dead men tell no tales, but those who survive do. In his sworn testimony at the Senate on Jan. 12, 2005, Luisita farmer George Loveland, who was shot with Ernesto Ramos at Luisita’s west gate of Las Haciendas seven days earlier, identified the bodyguards of Noynoy Aquino as their assailants.
Noynoy ordered shooting
Loveland said Noynoy was there when his bodyguards shot him and Ramos, remembering that Noynoy motioned and muttered to his security before shots rang out. The then Congressman Aquino, was later on heard pitching to people in and around Luisita a “superhighway” that would turn out to be the controversial SCTEX project.
And he wants to be President?
The killing of Father Tadena and the shooting of Loveland and Ramos positively linked Noynoy Aquino to the Hacienda Luisita Massacre and the subsequent killings, shootings and intimidations of farmers. With blood in his hands, how can Noynoy now aspire to be President, not of God-forsaken Luisita, but of the entire country?
He wants to be President? He must be crazy!!! If we vote for him then we are probably the ones who are retarded….

The campaign of Villar’s political foes has already been dominated by months of mudslinging with the Aquino camp leading the pack by fabricating accusations that the NP standard-bearer has committed various misdeeds and abuses in public office.
Aquino himself had ditched his vow of a clean, high-level campaigning by training his fire on the C-5 issue as a way of salvaging his floundering campaign. But El Shaddai leader Bro. Mike Velarde has clarified the controversy by making a statement that he was the one who requested the realignment of the road project and not Villar.
The LP even tried to capitalize on the unpopularity of President Arroyo by coining the “Villarroyo” collusion. New developments, however, cropped up to shed light on the controversy that showed it was Aquino and his relatives and allies who are in cahoots with Arroyo. The defection of key Arroyo economic gurus, led by Albay Gov. Joey Salceda, to Aquino’s camp provided the strongest proof of a Gloriaquino alliance.
When the Ampatuan case hogged the headlines in recent weeks, the Aquino camp floated rumors that Villar and his NP ticket had secured the endorsement of the members of the powerful Maguindanao clan who were tagged as massacre suspects. But on Tuesday, the principal massacre suspect, Mayor Andal Ampatuan Jr., held a press conference at Camp Bagong Diwa in Taguig City, where he is detained, to announce that his family is endorsing the Aquino-Roxas tandem. He even flashed the Laban sign of Aquino to reporters.
Former president Joseph Estrada, also a presidential contender, was the latest to join the Villar-bashing spree.
On Thursday, Estrada called a press conference to accuse Villar of pressuring the Philippine Stock Exchange (PSE) into allowing the former Senate president to sell stocks of his listed holding company in violation of stock market rules in 2007 so he could fund his presidential campaign.
But the PSE on the same day issued a statement to deny Estrada’s charge. It said Villar’s Vista Land and Lifescapes Inc. (VLL) complied with the listing and public offering requirements of the exchange based on its records in 2007.
